Nurses and caregivers work together in care teams and collaborate with the clinic's Treatment Team, including social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, addiction therapists, and doctors. As a caregiver, conversations with patients, relatives, and care neighbors are an important task. In the department, we work with a contact person system where the caregiver/nurse is responsible for their patients. You will participate in the daily nursing work in the department. We strive to provide patients with skills that promote recovery.

At the forensic psychiatric clinic, there is an ongoing improvement process regarding the care process and the introduction of more care and treatment measures, which you will be a part of. Working in forensic psychiatry is both developing and interesting. We are constantly working to develop and improve the working environment for our employees.

Caregiver (temporary position), Ward 32 Forensic Psychiatry Säter

As a caregiver in the department, you will provide care to patients, primarily through conversations, and support patients in maintaining daily routines and working towards good health. Caregivers ensure that patients have the opportunity to participate in activities, serve meals, handle waste, collect mail, and perform similar tasks that patients in a forensic psychiatric ward may struggle with due to being in a restricted locked environment. As a caregiver, you work closely with the patient in the care chain.

We offer a temporary position starting in the spring until the person returns to work, for at least 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

We are looking for someone who is a trained caregiver/nursing assistant.

Requirements:

• has a degree from the Health and Care Program, YH education for Caregivers in Psychiatric Operations 400 credits, or equivalent relevant education
• or is a trained nursing assistant who has completed the Health and Care Program or the vocational package Health and Care in adult education

Meritorious:

• Experience in psychiatry

Personal Attributes:

We are looking for someone who has good collaboration skills and wants to work in a team where the patient is an obvious member. We would like you to be interested in working with care and treatment measures for patients. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period.
