The health center has about 10,400 registered patients and around 50 employees in various professions. We offer a wide range of services including Assessment Car, Family Center, Rehabilitation Unit, and Counseling Reception.

We have a secure educational environment with 8 Specialist Doctors, 8 ST Doctors, 1 to 2 AT/BT Doctors, and medical assistants at different times.

The Gagnef health center is located about 20 kilometers north of Borlänge, with good commuting opportunities via train and bus on the Stockholm-Mora route.

Temporary Medical Assistant - Summer 2026 Health Center Gagnef

We are now looking for two dedicated medical assistants for summer vacancies in 2026. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills in a well-functioning primary care environment with a clear focus on quality, guidance, and patient safety.

As a medical assistant, you will work under the supervision of experienced doctors and together with nurses and nursing assistants in an integrated team. The work involves handling acute and semi-acute patients, as well as the opportunity for your own reception based on competence and needs. The position offers good opportunities to deepen your clinical competence and provides a solid foundation for your continued medical education.

We place great importance on personal suitability such as engagement and good interpersonal skills. You should be flexible, unpretentious, responsible, and have the ability to collaborate.

Requirements:

• You have completed at least 9 semesters of the old medical program or 10 semesters of the new medical program, or have completed the medical program with all courses passed.
• You have very good knowledge of Swedish corresponding to C1 according to CEFR.
• You want to work at least 6 weeks, preferably longer during the specified period.

Meritorious:

• Previous temporary positions or other education in healthcare
