Mora is the Vasaloppet town with proximity to nature and mountains. Mora Hospital is one of the county's two acute hospitals, and with the patient base that the hospital has due to large tourist flows and outdoor facilities in Sälen and Idre, it has a profile as a trauma hospital.

About 80,000 people live in the catchment area, and the patient base doubles during tourist seasons. Mora Hospital has a broad operation within internal medicine and surgical specialties, and here you will experience the comfort of a small hospital with local knowledge. You will recognize most people at the hospital, and they will recognize you. In the emergency department - where you will spend a lot of time - you will work independently with active backup support. As a BT doctor, you will see and do a lot, which provides good learning with a steep learning curve and broad experience. Psychiatry is conducted in outpatient care in Mora. Your primary care placement will be at one of the health centers in northern/western Dalarna.

BT is a clinical introduction service and a mandatory part of the new specialist training. In Region Dalarna, a cohesive fixed-term employment is offered with the aim of also contributing to finding our future ST doctors and specialist colleagues.

As we are looking for you who want to become our future specialist, we hope that you have an interest in a more long-term collaboration and a desire to contribute to developing the operations together with us in Region Dalarna.

The work may often involve several work locations, and commuting by car may be required. Start in autumn 2026.

The position includes, in addition to a solid introduction, clinical work under supervision in general medicine, emergency care (medicine or surgical), psychiatry, and possibly an additional clinical placement. A total of 12 months of service. The service plans for the blocks will be designed somewhat differently depending on the included clinical placements and work locations within Region Dalarna.

The work mainly consists of clinical work with continuous supervision and recurring structured competency assessments. In addition, there will be recurring training sessions aimed at achieving approved basic competencies according to SoS regulations and goal descriptions for BT.

We are looking for you who have obtained Swedish medical licensure and who have not undergone Swedish AT.

The positions require:

• Swedish personal identification number.
• Attached high school diploma
• Good oral and written communication skills in Swedish, which will also be assessed in the selection process.
• Extract from the criminal record. For those requesting an extract from a country other than Sweden, the extract must be translated into Swedish or English.
• Category B driver's license
• Clinical experience from Swedish healthcare with good references is a requirement: Certificates and/or recommendation letters from previous healthcare-related jobs and contact details for at least two current references from healthcare-related jobs you have worked closely with.
