Nurses and caregivers work together in care teams and collaborate with the clinic's Treatment Team, including social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, addiction therapists, and doctors. As a caregiver, conversations with patients, relatives, and care neighbors are an important task.

In the department, we work with a contact person system where you, as a caregiver/nurse, are responsible for your patients. You will participate in the daily nursing work in the department. We strive to provide patients with skills that promote recovery.

At the forensic psychiatric clinic, there is an ongoing improvement process regarding the care process and the introduction of more care and treatment measures, which you will be a part of. Working in forensic psychiatry is both developing and interesting. We continuously work to develop and improve the working environment for our employees.

Caregiver, ward 31 Forensic Psychiatry Säter Job Responsibilities

Ward 31 is an intake ward that sometimes receives patients in a mentally deteriorated condition initially in forensic psychiatric care. As a caregiver in the ward, you provide care for patients, primarily through conversations, and support the patient in maintaining daily routines while working to ensure that the patients have good health. Caregivers ensure that patients have the opportunity to participate in activities, serve meals, handle waste, collect mail, and perform similar tasks that patients on a forensic psychiatric ward struggle with due to being in a restricted locked environment. As a caregiver, you work closest to the patient in the care chain.

Additional InformationQualifications

We are looking for someone who

  • has a degree from the Health and Care program, YH education Caregiver in Psychiatric operations 400 credits, or equivalent relevant education.

Meritorious

  • experience in psychiatric work

We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills who wants to work in a team where the patient is an obvious member. We would like you to be interested in working with care and treatment measures for patients. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
