Being a nursing assistant on ward 56/58 is an exciting job where you will meet patients with many complex diagnoses. You will have the opportunity to develop and use your skills in both acute care and in assessing nursing and rehabilitation interventions. The pace and tasks will vary during your shift. Here, you will follow the patient for a few days up to a few months. We work person-centered together in a team. You will be offered individual orientation.

Wards 56 and 58 are located in the same premises and work together. On ward 56, you will work with the target group rehabilitation medicine, and on ward 58 with the target group rehabilitation geriatrics and acute geriatrics.

On ward 56, patients of working age who have suffered from stroke, brain injury, or spinal cord injury are primarily cared for. The care aims for the patient to achieve increased function with autonomy, activity, and participation in their life situation.

On ward 58, patients are cared for in general geriatrics, stroke rehabilitation, and orthopedic rehabilitation. Multimorbid elderly patients make the work interesting, and you will gain a broad range of skills. From February, ward 58 will run an exciting project with acute geriatric care beds. Most admissions will be directly from the emergency department. Documentation is done in the Cosmic journal system.

If you wish to work less than 100%, we can discuss this during the interview. You will work days, evenings, and nights.

Requirements

• Nursing assistant education. You have a degree from the Health and Care program or equivalent relevant education.
• Diploma from the Health and Care College.

 It is meritorious if you have 

• Experience from acute geriatrics/acute care ward.
• Experience from previous work in geriatrics and rehabilitation medicine.
• Experience with patients with tracheostomy, ventilator, and cough machine.
