Your New Workplace
The Reception Unit conducts administrative duties according to SoL, LVU, and LVM and is responsible for receiving reports concerning both children and adults.
The reception group handles the initial reception and distributes cases to social workers for preliminary assessment. The unit also manages urgent situations, which may involve home visits in acute family situations or immediate support for adults with substance abuse issues.
We are now looking for a social worker for scheduled daytime, evening, and weekend shifts. The position also includes social readiness during evenings and nights together with another social worker. Working hours are scheduled on a 10-week roster where you work alongside another colleague.
The Family and Adult Reception, which is part of the Child Track at the Department of Individual and Labor Market Services. Here, 15 social workers, a coordinator, an administrator, and a unit manager work. We apply the working time model 6.2 – six hours per day at the workplace and two hours for reflection, recovery, or professional development – and there is an opportunity for remote work. The work is varied and stimulating with a well-developed system for phone and urgent case handling.

Your Contribution as a Social Worker
As a social worker, you are responsible for processing incoming reports and applications concerning both children and adults. The reception group conducts preliminary assessments, and after initiating an investigation, the case is forwarded to the investigation teams. The work also involves urgent placements of children and adults. Processing according to the legislation SoL, LVU, and LVM. Statements to various authorities, placements of victims of violence during on-call hours.
Your Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, we see that you have:
- A degree in social work
- Good knowledge of relevant legislation within the social services area
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Basic IT skills and experience with digital documentation
- A valid driver's license (B)
We consider it an advantage if you have:
- Experience working within social services
- Experience in administrative duties
- Further education or courses in, for example, SoL, LVU, or administrative law
- Knowledge of English
- Experience with the operational system Treserva
To thrive in the role of social worker, you need to have a good ability to express yourself clearly and professionally in both speech and writing, as well as an empathetic and respectful approach. You are meticulous and structured in your work style and have the ability to handle periods of high workload in an sometimes unpredictable job.
You work independently, take responsibility for your cases, and at the same time have good collaboration skills in meetings with colleagues and partners. You have good judgment, can make well-founded decisions, and see the importance of legally secure documentation.
