KFUM Härnösand is part of a non-profit youth movement with a holistic view of humanity and welcomes everyone into its community. The association works for the all-round development of children and young people - body, soul, spirit - illustrated by our red triangle.

Aspnäs camp is beautifully located by the paddling-friendly Vegsjön in Aspnäs, 20 km west of Härnösand. Surrounding the camp are beautiful nature and we have access to a lovely swimming area with a sauna.

During the summer of 2026, we will conduct day camps and week-long camps for children aged 7-14 years. The camps run from Monday to Friday. Activities with the children focus on group-strengthening activities with an emphasis on outdoor life such as canoeing, swimming, fishing, sauna, outdoor cooking, and adventure.

We are now looking for responsible, creative, and proactive individuals for the role of camp leader for our summer camp. As a camp leader, you will be an important part of creating memorable and educational experiences for the children.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement various activities and camp programs.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of the children throughout the camp period.
  • Participate in practical tasks at the camp, such as cooking, meal preparation, and light cleaning.
  • Create a positive and inclusive environment for the participants.
  • Collaborate with other staff to ensure a smooth camp process.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with children and/or youth.
  • Good communication skills and experience in group-strengthening activities.
  • Confidence in handling situations and conflicts.
  • Interest in outdoor activities and camp life.
  • Basic first aid knowledge.
  • Driver's license and access to a personal vehicle.

Requirements:

  • Completed high school education or graduating in 2026.
  • Swimmer.
  • Approved extract from the criminal record.

Working hours and mandatory training

The position involves full-time work for up to 6 weeks during the period from June to August. You need to be able to work all camp weeks. Camp leaders for day camps work during the day and have one overnight stay per week at the camp, while camp leaders for week-long camps stay overnight at the camp throughout the week. Training in practical camp activities, basic outdoor life, and first aid is included.

If you are passionate about creating magical summer memories for children and youth and want to be part of our team, please send your application and CV to [email protected] by 2026-03-31. Selection will be ongoing, and positions may therefore be filled before the application deadline.

We look forward to welcoming enthusiastic camp leaders to our summer camp!
