The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinic in Västernorrland is a county-wide clinic with approximately 120 employees. Outpatient services are provided in Örnsköldsvik, Sollefteå, Härnösand, Sundsvall, and Ånge. An inpatient department is located in Sundsvall. The clinic has a long tradition of a systemic approach in meeting children and adolescents and their families. We use various treatment methods, both individually and in groups, based on systemic, psychodynamic, and cognitive perspectives.  At the clinic, psychologists, social workers, doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and medical secretaries work together.

We are now looking for a social worker for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Unit in Sundsvall. We are seeking someone who is interested in working with children/adolescents and families from a child psychiatric perspective, where the patient's individual needs are at the center. The position is a permanent full-time employment, with start date according to agreement.

Responsibilities

The social worker's mission is

  • Psychosocial assessments and evaluations as well as psychosocial treatment work. This includes: crisis and support conversations, motivational interviewing, collaboration with various community actors.
  • Work with patients and their relatives occurs in individual or family conversations as well as in teams with other professionals.
  • The social worker's responsibilities also include training for patients and relatives as well as for other professionals.

Additional InformationQualifications

We are looking for someone who

  • Has a degree in social work
  • Has good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing
  • Has a valid driver's license (B)

It is an advantage if you

  • Have experience in outpatient work
  • Have further education in psychosocial treatment work (step 1), training in CBT or similar
