Your future workplace?

Operation 1 at Mölndal Hospital has about 140 employees and consists of seven operating rooms and a preoperative unit.

We work with urgent and elective procedures primarily in major orthopedic surgery. The orthopedic procedures involve several different teams such as trauma, prosthetics, CARE, shoulder, knee, and foot. This may involve patients from all over Sweden in certain specialties. We also have close collaboration with the ICU regarding the placement of tracheostomies and support the Transplant Center with kidney insertions. Anesthesia nurses from Operation 1 also staff two rooms at Operation 2, Eye Surgery.

Emergency services are provided in the department around the clock. The focus during on-call hours is on urgent orthopedic procedures, but also includes hand surgery procedures (adult and pediatric) that cannot be postponed.

Research and development, education, and innovation (FoUUI) are important parts of our unit and are conducted both within our own operational area An/Op/IVA Mölndal and in collaboration with the Orthopedics department. An/Op/IVA Mölndal has PhD doctors and nurses and considers it a merit if applicants have experience and interest in FoUUI.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with specialist training in operating room nursing and have worked as an operating room nurse. Experience in emergency services and orthopedics is an advantage. You should have a genuine interest in people and in surgical operations. You appreciate a varied job and want to help develop our department for the future. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
