Stenungsund Municipality is an expanding coastal municipality with approximately 28,030 inhabitants, a strong business community, residential areas close to the sea, and good communication opportunities. The municipality's vision is to reach 35,000 inhabitants by 2035. Stenungsund Municipality is part of the Gothenburg Region's municipal association, which is a forum for cooperation and exchange of experiences, as well as several other inter-municipal collaborations.

The municipality is organized into a management structure with four sectors. The Social Services Sector includes four operations: special housing/municipal health and medical care, individual and family care, ordinary housing/personal assistance, and disability services.

The home care service in Stenungsund Municipality is divided into six different districts. The support from home care is intended to help clients live as independently as possible, so they can stay at home for as long as they wish. We work according to the vision: “Always the best meeting”.

The short-term unit provides daily services to clients who have temporary or recurring needs for help and support in a residence.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a staff member in home care, you work closely with people and provide support in each person's daily life. You perform care and support work for clients in their own homes, a personal and varied environment. This can involve everything from walks to personal care, as well as cooking and performing health and medical tasks by delegation. You primarily work independently, but some tasks you do together with your colleagues. To move between the different clients, you use a bicycle or car.

As a staff member in the short-term unit, you provide daily services to clients who have temporary or recurring needs for help and support in a residence. This can involve everything from a walk with good company, administering medication, to providing rehabilitative services so that the client can return to their regular home. Your efforts provide security and meaning for our elderly residents in the municipality.

Working hours are varied and scheduled. You can work days, evenings, and weekends. We also have night shifts. Exact times vary depending on where you will be working.

Your work also includes documenting in our operational systems within the respective area of operation.

Working in social services means that you perform care and support services according to the Social Services Act and, by delegation, perform services according to the Health and Medical Services Act.

You will receive a good introduction with shadowing, all to create security for you when performing your tasks with us this summer.

We are hiring continuously during spring and early summer and offer varying degrees of employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and considers the individual and their right to self-determination. The individual's needs are at the center, and it is important that you are there as a support and do not take over what the client can do themselves. Your support should contribute to participation in society. As a person, we expect you to be empathetic and have a sense of when to step forward or hold back; being attentive is important. You have personal maturity, high integrity, and a professional and respectful approach that always strives for the best possible meeting. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

You have the ability to work both independently and closely with colleagues or relatives, which means you are adaptable and flexible in your approach.

To work within the operations:

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Have a B driver's license; a B driver's license is not a requirement for the Short-Term Unit.
• You should master the Swedish language in speech and writing; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
• It is an advantage if you are a trained nursing assistant.

It is an advantage if you are in training/educated as a nursing assistant or educator, or have work experience in care and support.
