We are now looking for care assistants for home care in Torslanda.

Working in elderly care gives you the opportunity to contribute to joy and well-being. The goal is for care recipients to have meaningful days, where you provide good care and social support. Your working hours are scheduled during the day and every other weekend. In Torslanda, we value collaboration and work based on the national value framework.

Working in home care means that you support and assist the care recipient in their own home based on approved services. You travel to the individual's home on foot, by e-bike, or by car. Your work includes practical help with personal hygiene and care, support during meals, activities, laundry, cleaning, and more.

You will also perform health and medical tasks according to instructions and delegation from authorized personnel. All social documentation is done digitally. If you have not previously used the systems used within the City of Gothenburg, you will receive training in these.

As a care assistant in home care, you will have a varied job where you contribute to a dignified and meaningful life.

About You

Qualifications

• Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Comfortable using an e-bike as a work vehicle
• Driver's license (B) and driving experience

Desirable but not required

• Trained care assistant
• Experience in care and support work
• Experience working with mental health issues.

You convey information and ideas clearly and ensure that your message gets across.

To ensure high quality in our care and support, we prefer that those without formal care education have the necessary prerequisites to further educate themselves as care assistants or nursing assistants through adult education. We think long-term and want you as an employee to grow and develop, so we would like you to be motivated to pursue further education in care and support. We will prioritize candidates who have the required prerequisites.
