What does an aide in home care do?

A lot! The tasks are varied and may include:

• Personal care and support in daily activities, such as hygiene and meals
• Social support through presence and activities that promote health and well-being
• Support in care and nursing efforts in collaboration with colleagues and licensed personnel
• Observations of changes in the client's health and contact with responsible personnel as needed
• Documentation and work based on implementation plans.

Of course, we offer a solid introduction based on your own conditions. You will have time to learn the job step by step, shadow experienced colleagues, receive clear routines, and have the opportunity to ask questions. We want to give you good conditions to step into the role and feel secure in your tasks!

Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends on a rolling schedule.

In all home care areas in Partille municipality, cleaning is performed by an external service company.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who wants to make everyday life better for the elderly and people in need of support and care. We consider it an advantage if you have previous experience in home care or elderly care, but it is not a requirement. A driver's license is also an advantage but not a requirement. You need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

We are looking for someone who can quickly read and adapt to changing circumstances and situations. Since a lot is happening in elderly care, we also want you to be someone who has a positive view of change, is quick to absorb new information and new working methods, and shares both successes and setbacks, as that is how we improve and develop! Furthermore, you should have the mentality that problems are meant to be solved and actively work to find solutions when needed. Last but not least, we want you to be great at collaborating!

Good to know

Provided that you meet the requirements for the position, it is mandatory to undergo a digital language test to ensure competence at the B1 level according to the Council of Europe's standards before any interview. Please note that the process will be interrupted if the language test is not passed. You will need to identify yourself with Bank-ID to take the language test.
