About the Job

The position is within the Child and Student Health Services where the school nurse profession is present in primary school, adapted primary school, secondary school, and adapted secondary school.

The work is conducted from a collaborative perspective where the student is at the center.

The Student Health Services primarily work in a health-promoting and preventive manner. For the school nurse, this means conducting health conversations and health checks according to the existing basic program, as well as collaborating with other professionals in student health with teachers on various types of promoting and preventive measures at the group level.

As a school nurse, you will be part of the student health team at the school unit together with a special educator and a counselor. The team also has access to a school psychologist and is supplemented in grades 7-9 and high school by study and career counselors. The principal leads the student health work at the unit. You will work at the individual, group, and organizational levels, providing a multifaceted and varied job.

In addition to the work at the school unit, you will belong to a professional group with other school nurses. This includes working on issues related to your own profession and conducting quality and development work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with a specialist education as a district nurse, pediatric nurse, or school nurse. It is an advantage if you have experience working as a school nurse. You have a high sense of responsibility, are meticulous, and flexible. As a school nurse, you are confident in working independently and have a good ability to cooperate and collaborate. You find it easy to communicate and meet people and enjoy working with children and young people and their guardians. Furthermore, we see that you have good linguistic, written, and analytical skills. You have a positive and accommodating attitude and see opportunities in changes. Previous experience collaborating with other organizations, such as BUP and IFO, is meritorious.

We are looking for someone who can and wants to work independently with great personal responsibility. It is important that you are positive and have good collaborative skills and the willingness to work from a health-promoting perspective.

Conditions

Permanent employment at 100% with a start in September 2026.
