We are looking for psychiatric nurses!

As a psychiatric nurse at BUP Emergency, you will be part of a dedicated team providing acute psychiatric care to children and adolescents in need of inpatient care.

Our patients may suffer from severe depression, anxiety, serious eating disorders, psychotic disorders, and/or have attempted suicide. We are constantly developing our operations, and in 2026 we will refine the emergency assignment, among other things, by managing the acute flow even during daytime. Therefore, we are strengthening our team and are now looking for two psychiatric nurses. The position involves day, evening, night, and weekend work.

About you

You need to be a licensed nurse with further education in psychiatry. It is an advantage if you have experience in making acute assessments both via phone and on-site. As a person, you are empathetic, secure, and attentive – you have the ability to meet children and young people in difficult situations with empathy, good communication, and professionalism.

BUP consists of inpatient care and an emergency department located in Kalmar and outpatient clinics in Västervik, Kalmar, and Oskarshamn.
