Do you want to work in an environment where pace, people, and international customer flows meet every day? Where the visual expression should not only be beautiful but also clear, relevant, and business-driven? At Airport Retail Group, we are now looking for a Visual Merchandiser for our ÆRA Fashion stores at Arlanda – one store in Terminal 5 and one in SkyCity.
As a Visual Merchandiser, you will have a leading and developing role with responsibility for the visual expression in both stores. You create an inspiring and commercially viable visual expression that enhances both customer experience and sales – in an environment where the customer is often on the go and time is limited.
In this role, visual merchandising is not just about display but about customer interaction. The visual work and the meeting with the customer go hand in hand. You see the customer, greet them, provide service, and assist in the purchasing process when needed. We believe that clear visual solutions, presence, and service together create security, inspiration, and purchasing decisions.
The role is not solitary but has a clear responsibility that is carried out in close collaboration with the store manager and the team. Through your visual competence, leadership, and pedagogical ability, you lead, educate, and inspire colleagues so that the visual work becomes a natural part of everyday life and the stores develop over time.
Your ResponsibilitiesAs a Visual Merchandiser with us, you will be responsible for:
Having the overall visual responsibility for two stores (approximately 300–400 sqm per unit)
Ensuring that the visual expression follows AERA Fashion's concepts and guidelines
Understanding where to place products to create the best possible conditions for sales and customer experience
Working data-driven by analyzing sales statistics and drawing visual conclusions
Planning, structuring, and leading the visual work in-store together with the store manager
Translating central guidelines into local conditions – creatively and commercially
Training and developing employees in visual merchandising
Ensuring that the visual thinking and working methods are integrated into daily operations
Being a role model and source of inspiration in the store
Creating visual solutions adapted for high pace, customers on the move, and active customer interactions
In your daily work, this role includes:
Planning and implementing displays according to VM guidelines and campaign plans
Ensuring correct product placement based on season, flow, and sales data
Analyzing results to optimize areas and displays
Leading and coaching colleagues in daily visual work
Weekly follow-up of the store environment
Documenting through photos and conducting digital Store Walks for learning and inspiration
Collaborating closely with the VM team in Norway
Providing service and being an active part of the sales work
To thrive and succeed in this role, we see that you:
Enjoy and appreciate a fast-paced environment
Thrive in the airport environment and understand the customer's journey
Are confident in a leading, educational, and collaborative role
Have a strong visual and commercial holistic perspective and a good sense of creativity
Are pedagogical, clear, and confident in giving feedback
Are analytical and curious about how visual decisions affect sales
Are structured, communicative, and inspiring
Have experience in leading yourself, taking responsibility for priorities, and shaping the role's content based on given conditions
Are comfortable making decisions, taking initiative, and adapting your working methods – with a clear focus on the overall store
Relevant experience in the role of Visual Merchandiser
Experience in retail, preferably fashion
Good knowledge of sales and customer interaction
Experience in training, engaging, and developing teams
Good economic understanding and experience working with follow-up and the store's key figures
Swedish language skills are required; other languages are a plus
A varied, fun, and fast-paced workday
A leading position where you can help shape and lead the business
Good working conditions in an inspiring work environment
