Defense Health

As a doctor at A 9, you belong to the Defense Health department. Defense Health Kristinehamn is an integrated occupational health service with the Armed Forces as the client. We differ from commonly found occupational health services by providing health care for students and conscripts, as well as medical readiness during military exercises and operations.

You will work in an organization with varied and independent tasks, as well as teamwork with the department's other competencies. The personnel categories of Defense Health include nurses, physiotherapists, medical secretaries, doctors, and psychologists.

The workplace is Kristinehamn, but Defense Health is located in Villingsberg until the establishment of the new regiment, which is planned to be completed by 2030 in Kristinehamn. Service at the Armed Forces' other Defense Health services and workplaces may occur.

Main Responsibilities

Health care for conscripts and students, as well as occupational health care for employed personnel. The work includes health-promoting, preventive, treatment, and rehabilitation tasks. The responsibilities include teaching and participating in development work.

In the Armed Forces, three hours of physical training per week is permitted, and it is expected that this will be carried out as a regular work task.

Requirements for the position

• Licensed doctor with at least 5 years of professional experience
• Trained specialist doctor in relevant specialty
• Driving license B

• Specialist in surgery, orthopedics, ENT, general medicine, or internal medicine
