Project Description
The aim of the project is to characterize toxic and structurally novel chemicals using high-resolution mass spectrometry data (HRMS) for non-selective analysis with liquid and gas chromatography. This includes work with generative machine learning to propose candidate structures and predict the amount of chemicals from HRMS data.
Job Responsibilities
The work involves analyzing and preparing GC/HRMS and LC/HRMS data for machine learning, as well as setting up generative and predictive machine learning models. We prefer candidates who are proactive and have good problem-solving skills with the ambition to conduct interdisciplinary research involving mass spectrometry and data science. Candidates with experience in handling mass spectrometry data are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
Eligibility Requirements
A researcher is primarily employed for research and must have obtained a doctoral degree or have a foreign degree that is deemed equivalent to a doctoral degree.
Assessment Criteria
In the appointment process, special emphasis will be placed on scientific competence.
Selection among candidates who meet the requirements will be based on: the ability to conduct machine learning and HRMS data processing, written and verbal proficiency in English, analytical thinking skills, willingness to collaborate, as well as creativity, initiative, and independence.
About the Employment
The position is full-time and is limited to a maximum of 12 months. Start date is 2026-03-01 or by agreement.
