Event Project Manager, Culture & Exhibitions - Temporary Position

The Events & Programs department is part of the operations of Sofiero Castle and Garden and Helsingborg Arena, which is a central part of the company. The department is responsible for the production and project management of events in the company's operations and events in the public spaces of Helsingborg.

The assignment includes developing concepts, planning, coordinating, and executing Sofiero's events and exhibitions. The main focus of the position is on Sofiero, but you may also be assigned tasks at other locations within the organization as needed.

You are an experienced creative project manager who can take responsibility for strategically planning and operationally leading, executing, and coordinating the company's own and other actors' events.

As a project manager, you will also participate in the development of our strategic event work, represent the company in matters related to our events at various external meetings, forums, and networks, and will have delegated budget and financial responsibility for assigned events.

Project managers report to the head of the Events & Programs department.

Sofiero is one of Skåne's premier tourist and visitor destinations, with a large international audience. The operations include the castle and a royal park and garden, all of which constitute an important cultural heritage for Helsingborg. Public activities, exhibitions, concerts, etc. are also organized here during the summer season.

The person we are looking for should have experience and understanding of this type of operation to contribute to Sofiero's vision of becoming a world-class destination.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent in cultural studies/cultural history and/or landscape architecture/design and project management.
• 3-5 years of experience in exhibition and event production in outdoor environments.
• 3-5 years of experience leading projects with both own and others' resources.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in personnel responsibility and/or leading without having personnel responsibility.
• Experience in financial budget responsibility and adhering to given frameworks/budgets.
• Experience in negotiating contracts and public procurement.
• Ability to work independently and towards set goals.
• A broad network within the cultural, gardening, and employment sectors.
• Very good knowledge of English.
• Excellent ability to express oneself in speech and writing.
• Good creative ability and the capacity to create extraordinary content.
• Driving license B.

Extent: Full-time 100%

Start date: May 2026 or by agreement.
