Svalöv Municipality is Hiring a Building Antiquarian

The position is located in the Planning and Development Unit, which is part of the Community Building Sector, including Building Permits, as well as Staff and Technology. Together, we are responsible, on behalf of the Community Building Committee, for the municipality's physical planning and community development.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Svalöv Municipality currently lacks an up-to-date and comprehensive inventory of cultural environments in the municipality. Therefore, a cultural environment program will now be developed to provide guidance for decisions on building permits, detailed planning, and comprehensive planning, as well as serve as an accessible and pedagogical knowledge base for property owners and residents in the municipality.

The Building Antiquarian's work consists of project managing the development of the cultural environment program.

The job responsibilities include field inventory, which involves inventorying and assessing culturally and historically valuable buildings and areas in the municipality's six urban centers.

The exact design of templates and tools for inventorying, as well as the formulation of criteria for classification, will be determined before the building inventory begins.

You will work independently and be responsible for organizing your own project while also being part of a project group and a work group. Your closest colleagues will be a comprehensive planner and a GIS strategist.

The work is time-limited and will be carried out in project form for 12 months, with the possibility of extension.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• has a university degree as a building antiquarian or equivalent
• has good knowledge of the Cultural Environment Act, the Planning and Building Act, and other legislation relevant to the work area
• can independently drive projects
• is goal- and results-oriented
• has a good ability to see and communicate from a holistic perspective
• is good at expressing themselves in speech and writing
• has extensive computer skills and experience with GIS
• holds a valid driver's license (B)

We also welcome candidates with prior experience in cultural environment programs or building inventories. Personal suitability will be given significant weight, where a positive attitude, engagement, and self-drive are important qualities.
