JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Landskrona's new museum, Flykten 1943, will open at the end of May. We are therefore looking for hosts who want to welcome our visitors and tell them about the exhibition. You will be the face of the museum and need to be representative and able to professionally meet and assist visitors to ensure they have a pleasant and positive experience. You will welcome visitors, staff the ticket office, and tell them about the exhibition. The role also includes acting as a guide and conducting short tours of the exhibition. We offer you a varied and exciting job within history and service, where you can delve into a fascinating historical period and become our expert. It is a creative workplace where everyone helps each other, supports one another, and solves challenges collaboratively.

The positions are primarily located at the Flykten 1943 museum, which is situated at Landskrona Citadel. The museum is about the escape of Danish Jews across the Öresund in 1943. Therefore, it is important that you have an interest in history and this time period. To deepen visitors' knowledge, short tours of the exhibition are offered a couple of times a day, which means you need to be comfortable speaking in front of groups in both Swedish and English. The museum is open seasonally, daily from June to August, so we are looking for someone who wants to work during the season and possibly also on weekends during September-October. The working hours vary between positions from hourly employment, preferably on weekends, up to 70%.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are passionate about working in service and providing a good reception. You enjoy searching for answers to questions and are unpretentious in your work. As a person, you are welcoming and easy to talk to. You put the visitor first, listen to their needs, and adapt your reception to the situation.

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in history and an education relevant to the role, such as in history, tourism, or pedagogy. We would like you to have previous experience in service and reception, preferably also with cash systems and sales. You should be comfortable speaking in front of groups in both Swedish and English. We are looking for someone who is flexible and willing to work varying hours and at a changing pace.
