Workplace Description

You will be employed in the Local Service department, which focuses on cleaning, reception, and janitorial services.

LU Service continuously works on improvements to meet customer needs, and at Campus Helsingborg, cleaners, janitors, and reception staff provide service to employees and students.

The Role of Service Host

You will have a varied, fun, and sometimes challenging role with us. The work includes janitorial duties, cleaning, and reception work, which involves local booking, case management, meeting with employees and students, store operations, sales of promotional products, graffiti removal, lock repairs, event setup, internal relocations, mail handling, goods reception, and waste management.

What We Are Looking For

To be considered for the position, you should have experience in service roles such as janitorial and reception work. You are confident in yourself, self-driven, interested in learning new things, and always treat people with respect. You should enjoy being around others, and since Lund University is a workplace with people from all over the world, you need to be proficient in both Swedish and English.

You should have good computer and system skills to easily understand and navigate different systems. You will work in several different systems, and digital competence is crucial for you to succeed in the job.

You take responsibility for yourself, your colleagues, and collaborate to solve tasks. We need someone who can identify needs and problems, find solutions, and represent LU Service in the best way. We need you to be brave, willing to think outside the box, ask a colleague if you don't know, and have a strong drive to deliver excellent service to customers.

Examples of Daily Tasks

• Mail and package handling
• Deliveries and transportation
• Handling of error reports and technical support
• Setup and simple assembly and repairs
• Reception and store work
• Administrative tasks, such as local booking, inventory of promotional products, and some invoice handling

You may also need to perform some cleaning duties in the role.

The role may evolve based on the needs of the organization.

Qualifications

Requirements for employment are:

• work experience in a service role deemed relevant by the employer
• ability to read, speak, and write fluently in Swedish and English
• digital competence and maturity
• good collaboration skills
• service-oriented and self-driven
• flexible and responsible.

Desirable qualifications for employment are:

• Experience working in any type of case management system
• Driver's license (B)

Other

We offer 1 position. The employment is permanent, full-time, starting on April 1, 2026, or by agreement. A probationary period may apply.
