The MAVA/heart department in Örnsköldsvik belongs to Primary Care North. The department specializes in cardiology and medical emergency care. We work in teams of doctors, nurses, and nursing assistants with groups of 5-6 patients. We treat patients with infections, shortness of breath, heart attacks, heart failure, and arrhythmias.
When you start with us, you will receive a two-week onboarding. We have a well-established mentorship program for new colleagues where you will receive personal support and learning from an experienced nursing assistant. There is a supervising nurse on the department whose main task is to support and guide staff daily in all situations that arise, from big to small. Internal training that you, as a new employee, will undergo includes A-CPR, proactive training, and practical moments at KTC relevant to the department. We offer newly hired nursing assistants the opportunity to participate in a development year for new nursing assistants where you will receive training throughout the year and meet other new colleagues. Scheduling is based on individual preferences with great flexibility and the possibility of reduced working hours. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. There is an opportunity to work nights. We have individual salary setting. The position is a full-time temporary position with start date according to agreement until 2026-12-31, with a possible extension.

Job ResponsibilitiesAs a nursing assistant with us, your job responsibilities will include:
- Basic nursing care
- Mobilization
- Monitoring NEWS (vital parameters)
- Venipuncture
- Blood cultures
- Catheter placement
- Wound dressing
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a trained nursing assistant
- Has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
It is an advantage if you:
- Have work experience in medical emergency care
