We are a force that connects, holds together, and develops the county. Within Region Västernorrland, we are all part of something bigger.
The Infectious Diseases Clinic is located in Sundsvall and has a county-wide responsibility for infectious disease care throughout Västernorrland County. Every year, we receive approximately 6,800 patients. We work with person-centered care, which means that the patient is in focus and more involved in their treatment. Currently, we have 12 care places divided into two care teams with nurses, nursing assistants, doctors, dietitians, and occupational therapists.
The main working hours are at the infectious diseases outpatient clinic where we have both acute and planned activities. A nurse role in an infectious diseases outpatient clinic with on-call services involves a dynamic mix of patient-centered care, acute triage, and infection control, where you manage everything from planned visits to acute incidents, sample collection, medication administration, advice via 1177, and coordination of care for infectious conditions that require isolation or specialist knowledge (e.g., tuberculosis, hepatitis, severe viral infections). The on-call aspect involves quick assessment of urgent cases, booking emergency cases, and sometimes handling questions regarding prescriptions/sick leave, while maintaining high patient safety and following strict hygiene protocols.
We are now looking for a nurse to join our wonderful team for a permanent full-time position with start date by agreement.
