Do you want a central role in creating safe, secure, and efficient care for our patients? We are now looking for a dedicated surgical planning nurse to our Operations Coordination Unit (OSE) - a workplace where competence, collaboration, and quality are in focus.

With us, you will work alongside experienced and specialized nurses who plan elective surgeries in surgery, urology, as well as ear, nose, and throat. Together, you form a strong team that makes a real difference for our patients every day.

In the role of surgical planner, you will be the hub of the region's urological surgical flow. You are responsible for ensuring that patients are optimally prepared for their procedures and that the surgical planning maintains the highest quality. The work involves significant responsibility, with great trust. You will work closely supported by knowledgeable and engaged colleagues.

Our current surgical planner is retiring, and therefore we are looking for you in good time. This gives us the opportunity to offer a long, secure, and well-thought-out introduction, where you can grow into the role at a calm pace. The position is a permanent full-time employment with a start date as agreed. Working hours are weekdays without weekends.

Surgical Planning Nurse for Urology/Surgery, Sundsvall Responsibilities

The role includes surgical planning where you will, among other things:

• Plan surgical programs that involve coordination between different units.
• Prepare and book patients
• Ensure that investigations such as test results, X-rays, and preparations are ready before surgery.
• Prioritize patients: Consider medical priority, care guarantee, waiting times, and available resources

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed nurse
• Has worked as a nurse for at least 1 year
• Has very good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form

It is a merit if you

• Have experience working in surgery and/or urology
• Have experience in surgical planning
• Have worked in the systems Orbit and/or Cosmic
