We are looking for a positive, driven, and committed nursing assistant with an interest in surgical care, who wants a stimulating and varied job.

Surgical Ward 4 is a care department that encompasses a wide range of patient categories, focusing on patient groups within general surgery and obesity surgery. The department has about 35 employees who have collectively developed the operation into an attractive workplace that offers high-quality care and makes an impact on a good working environment. We receive good results in employee surveys and patient/relative surveys. Development, team spirit, empathy, and communication are some of the many values selected by the staff that characterize the work in our operation.

The surgical area has close collaboration between the three hospitals in the region. The area has a regional mandate for emergency and planned surgical healthcare, and we also provide some highly specialized care for out-of-region patients. There are 350 employees in various units such as outpatient clinics, wards, surgery, and secretariat. Planned healthcare is increasingly located in Karlskoga and Lindesberg, and similarly, tumor and trauma activities are located in Örebro. Within the area, active development work is carried out with a focus on the patient throughout the care process.

As a nursing assistant, your main task is to provide good care to patients with various surgical diagnoses. Depending on your skills and interests, you will also be offered individual assignments. Contact with relatives and significant others is an important part of the job.

We welcome you who are a trained nursing assistant, preferably with a focus on emergency care according to previous program structure, or are a trained nursing assistant within the current program structure. To assess employability, transcripts from your healthcare education and proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare of a protected professional title must be attached to your application.

You should have good collaboration skills and a strong commitment. We value personal suitability highly. Experience in surgical care is an advantage but not a requirement.
