Department 1 has 14 beds and is located at Karlahuset in Örebro, conveniently close to the city center, as well as bus and train connections.

We are a wonderful team of about 35 employees, consisting of nurses and caregivers. We primarily care for patients with psychotic disorders and work closely with the outpatient team of the psychosis care, which is also located in the building. We also collaborate closely with other psychiatric wards in the county and with social psychiatry in the municipalities.

The psychosis care is part of the specialist psychiatry area. The psychosis care ward and clinics are located at Karlahuset in western Örebro. We work with both individual and group therapy, as well as planned and emergency visits and telephone counseling. Rehabilitation is part of our work, as are mobile interventions and patient and family education. Together, we are around 100 employees working with common processes and goals. We work in multiprofessional teams based on a holistic view of the individual and tailor our care interventions to the patient's needs and circumstances. We strive to promote the involvement of relatives in the care.

Nurse for Department 1, Karla

As a nurse, you have a leading role and are responsible for the psychiatric care of hospitalized patients together with other professionals. You participate in rounds and perform standard nursing tasks such as medication management, assessments, and documentation. Your responsibilities also include support conversations with patients as well as contact and coordination with other healthcare providers, municipalities, and relatives/significant others.

We place great importance on conversations with our patients and teamwork with other professionals in the department, as psychiatric care is based on collaboration and participation.

You play a natural role in the ongoing development and change work of the organization to ensure more person-centered care and a developing and good working environment.

Licensed nurse or specialist nurse with a focus on psychiatry is an advantage, but not a requirement. We are looking for someone who enjoys working closely with patients, who has the patient's best interests in mind, who has the ability to tailor care according to the patient's needs, and who takes a holistic perspective, seeing both the patient and their relatives in their life situation.
