The Urology Clinic consists of a Reception Unit and a Treatment Unit. Here, nurses, nursing assistants, and urotherapists work together with doctors, research nurses, and social workers. To provide the best possible care, we work in teams around various urological diagnoses. Our main areas include investigation and treatment of prostate cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, penile cancer, and testicular cancer, as well as endourology, implants, strictures, and LUTS. However, we also manage all other urological diagnoses and symptoms.

The Urology business area operates at two of the region's three hospitals, Örebro University Hospital and Karlskoga Hospital. We have a broad urological operation that includes both basic urology and most types of highly specialized urological surgery. We also have extensive research activities and an educational mission within both nursing and medical education. At Örebro University Hospital, there is a care department, an operating department, a day surgery unit, and shockwave treatment, an administrative unit, a research and development unit, as well as a clinic.

Örebro University Hospital (USÖ) is one of the county's three emergency hospitals where we provide advanced healthcare, research, and education. Both in 2020 and 2019, USÖ received the prestigious award for Best University Hospital from Dagens Medicin. USÖ won the most significant category for medical quality, had the best results in the categories of accessibility, economy, and in avoiding pressure ulcers and overcrowding. USÖ also tops the results in the areas of heart, kidney failure, and vascular surgery. USÖ has about 3500 employees. Nurse, Urology Clinic, Örebro University Hospital

The Urology Clinic consists of a reception unit and a urological treatment clinic. This position is located in the reception unit. The job responsibilities include, among other things:

. Own nursing reception and installation reception

. Examinations and treatments in close collaboration with doctors

. Telephone advice to patients and other healthcare units

. Gradually taking on the role of contact nurse within one of our diagnostic groups

. Active participation in the development and improvement work of the organization.

We are looking for someone who is:

. A licensed nurse, preferably with at least three years of experience

. Independent, flexible, and confident in your profession

. Positive and solution-oriented with good collaboration skills

. Comfortable with a varying pace and sees it as stimulating

. If you have experience in surgical operations, have taken courses in urology and/or as a contact nurse, it may be an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
