JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Within the Child and Education Administration, there are four intendants whose main task is to support the administration and school units within preschool and primary school in matters related to the physical working environment. The work is carried out in close collaboration with principals, staff, other intendants, and other key individuals locally and centrally within and outside the organization.

In 2026, two intendants plan to leave the organization, and we therefore need to hire two new employees.

The position of intendant also includes personnel responsibility for custodians who support the operations with service tailored to the activities, which includes leadership, financial responsibility, and recruitment.

In your role, you will be responsible for supporting the operations within the area of responsibility, focusing on ensuring that the work is conducted in accordance with applicable legislation as well as the municipality's and administration's various governing documents and routines.

Your work with the physical working environment in our administration and units includes, among other things:

• systematic work environment management
• systematic fire protection work
• local and property issues
• self-inspection
• procurement issues
• inventory purchases
• organizing renovation and construction work.

As an intendant, you are responsible for monitoring the external environment within the relevant area of assignment and, based on this, communicating and implementing new information to the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a vocational or university education focused on work environment, public administration, property management, educational training, or another relevant field for the position, or alternatively, relevant work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.

It is advantageous if you have previous experience in:

• working with physical work environments, for example, in roles as a work environment consultant, intendant, or similar.
• working as a manager with personnel responsibility
• working in preschool, primary school, or public administration
• working with construction and property issues

As a person, we see that you have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others. You create and maintain relationships in your daily work and take responsibility for both your own and shared tasks. In your working method, you are structured with a clear focus on goals and results, and you adopt a holistic perspective where you can place the operations in a larger context.

You are a good communicator with the ability to convey your message clearly and effectively. Your analytical ability is important for this role, as you can effectively identify and analyze problems, suggest changes, and drive development work based on these.

A valid driver's license (B) is a requirement for the position.

Interviews are scheduled for Monday, February 23 in the afternoon and Wednesday, February 25 in the morning.
