Västerskolan is a primary school (grades F-3) with three after-school centers. Currently, there are about 170 students, 26 educators, a school nurse, a counselor, after-school staff, a school administrator, a janitor, a cleaner, and a principal. The school is centrally located in beautiful Kungsör, close to natural areas and sports facilities. We work with great commitment to ensure our students develop and achieve both academic and social goals. We are used to sharing pedagogical successes, and the close collaboration with student health services means we always have access to advice and support. We are encouraged to be brave, take responsibility, think innovatively, and we have a purpose when planning organization, development work, and teaching. An interesting development project is underway at the school, focusing on, among other things, the learning of newly arrived students, language development approaches, leadership, and collegial learning.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a substitute teacher, you will cover for regular teaching staff when they are absent. This may involve a few hours per day, full days, or longer periods according to the schedule. For this job, you need to be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma with passing grades, and possess good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form. It is preferable that you have completed SFI D with passing grades. A driver's license and personal vehicle are not required but would be helpful as work is often offered at short notice and the response time is one hour.

Extent: Hourly paid, 1-100% employment rate

Kungsör is located in the heart of Western Mälardalen, with the E20 passing just outside the locality, and trains on the Svealandsbanan stop centrally. You can quickly travel to neighboring municipalities; it takes about 15 minutes to Arboga, Köping, and Eskilstuna, and Västerås and Örebro are within 45 minutes, while Stockholm can be reached in one hour by express train.
