Specialist Care Campus

Specialist Care Campus is a day surgery department with two operating rooms that organizationally falls under the orthopedic area. Here we perform surgeries in surgery, orthopedics, and gynecology. We work daytime Monday to Friday. Specialist Care Campus is located on the Mid Sweden University campus, a bit away from the hospital.

The orthopedic area also includes Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy units, Orthopedic Department, Orthopedic and Spine Surgery Clinic, and Orthopedic Medical Department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As an anesthetic nurse at Specialist Care Campus, you will work in a small team where you alternate between anesthetizing in the operating room one day and working with pre- and post-operative care the next. Your tasks include planning, implementing, and following up on anesthesia, as well as monitoring the patient’s vital functions before, during, and after surgery. The work is conducted in accordance with applicable laws, guidelines, and patient safety requirements. The job also includes following up on operations; we register in quality registers and contact patients after surgery.

The work involves daytime hours, Monday to Friday, with an employment rate of 50%. During certain weeks of the year, Campus closes, and we reinforce other parts of our operations based on our core competencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialized competence in anesthetic care and at least five years of professional experience in surgical operations. As an employee at Specialist Care Campus, you work independently with great personal responsibility.

You have good communication skills and should be responsive to the needs of patients and the organization, as well as in collaboration with colleagues. We expect you to be positive about changing and developing care and its work processes, with a clear focus on the patient.
