District Nurse for Evening and Night Organization

Are you alert when others are asleep? We in the evening and night organization are looking for a district nurse for home care.

As a district nurse in the evening and night organization, you will work with citizens connected to home care, Storsjögläntan, the MiNT team, and also within a primary care assignment (1177 cases). The work includes medical assessments, palliative care, end-of-life care, other planned tasks, and support and advice to nursing staff via phone. The citizens you will meet in your work can range from children to the oldest citizens in the municipality. The work is varied, meaning no night is the same as another. You will have the support of an experienced team consisting of both nurses and district nurses.

The position is 75%, but other percentages of employment may be relevant based on preferences.

Common Tasks

As a district nurse, you will plan, lead, and carry out home care work together with the teams in home care and in collaboration with health centers and specialist care. You also have an important role in educating and mentoring staff and relatives. In Östersund municipality, we work according to a health-promoting and rehabilitative approach, with a clear goal that those we serve receive safe and secure care and can live as actively and independently as possible.

Your Competence

Requirements

  • Licensed nurse
  • At least 2 years of work experience as a nurse
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Driver's license B
  • Good computer skills

Meritorious

  • District nurse education
  • Experience in home care
  • Experience from municipal health and medical care
  • Experience with the systems Viva and Cosmic Link
