Primary care in Region Jämtland Härjedalen is organizationally part of the Division of Close Care along with Ambulance, Public Dental Care, Psychiatry, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Primary care is organized into 4 local care areas, and since January 2022, primary care and ambulance services have been integrated under good and close care. Each local care area is an economic unit led by a manager. Primary care is also responsible for the region's medical advice, youth reception, and the local care department Näva, all of which are grant-funded.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Working as a district doctor with us means that you assess, investigate, treat, and advise patients in primary care with various types of ailments and issues. You will work with health promotion, group activities, and collaborate with other professionals at the health center. You will work based on evidence-based methods individually, in group activities, and via the internet.
As part of the transition to close care, you will have responsibility for the municipality's home care and SÄBO in your profession. This work includes making home visits together with a nurse or district nurse.
We actively work to develop our treatment efforts for good living habits and to prevent long-term sick leave and promote a quick return to work.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with specialist competence in general medicine with a Swedish license and a good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written (C1 level).
You enjoy working in a team with other professionals close to the patient and would like to contribute to the development of the organization.
As a person, we see that you are positive, humble, and prefer to work in a solution-oriented manner. Furthermore, we appreciate a structured and flexible working style. You should have good initiative, an open mind, and be open to changes within the field of work. Independent work, good interpersonal skills, good collaboration ability, and professional responsibility are required.
Own research and supervision are meritorious but not a formal requirement for the position.
Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

Primary care is a healthcare unit within the region's health and medical care administration, where higher education for medical degrees and research is conducted. This means that all applicants must be evaluated by the Research and Development responsible before potential employment. Therefore, the application must include the following accompanying documents.

- Certificate of medical degree from the institution(s) where the doctor completed their basic education. This also applies to doctors trained in other EU countries and outside the EU.
- License certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare
- Specialist competence certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare
- Certificate/documentation of teaching experience and any other pedagogical merits.
- If applicable, certificate of academic degree, such as Doctor of Medicine or Docent, as well as the date of disputation and the title of the dissertation.
- Documented supervisor training
- If applicable, a complete updated publication list.
- Any additional documented merit regarding clinical knowledge/experience, clinical development work, leadership experience, and anything else the applicant wishes to highlight as meritorious for the applied position.
