In our inpatient department, we have 20 care places, of which 6 are HIA places (cardiac intensive care). This means you will have a unique opportunity to work with everything from more stable heart patients to those requiring more advanced intermediate care – all in the same department!

With us, you will receive:

• Personal development: Your onboarding will be tailored based on your experience. Do you want to deepen your knowledge in HIA? We have recurring training weeks every 4 weeks with themes based on your wishes and needs.
• Security through team training: Every month we train acute scenarios together – doctors, nurses, and nursing assistants. Everyone is trained in A-CPR and we practice several times a year.
• Variation and holistic view: You will be part of the entire heart unit, from inpatient care, outpatient clinics to the coronary laboratory (PCI lab). We are also part of the hospital's cardiac emergency team.
• Flexible scheduling: We strive for you to work 2 out of 5 weekends. You can choose between traditional 8-hour shifts or extended shifts – we adapt to your preferences.

During daytime, you will also have the support of a lead nurse who coordinates and leads the work on site.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The heart unit is a cardiology ward with acute and planned operations focusing on heart diseases such as myocardial infarction, heart failure, and various arrhythmias. The department is divided into three parts: HIA with six care places with enhanced monitoring and the possibility of intermediate care, Cardiology/general and Endocrinology/general, each with six care places.

As a nurse, you will work closely with other nurses, nursing assistants, and doctors, as well as other professional categories available in the unit or in connection with it, such as medical secretaries and staff managing patient kitchens, supplies, and cleaning. The workplace is well-liked by both staff and patients.

As a nurse in our heart unit, you will gain broad knowledge in all areas of cardiac care, and when you are ready and after internal training, you will be part of the hospital's cardiac emergency team. There are good opportunities for development within the unit.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. You see it as a given to work in a team and contribute to the entire heart unit. Experience in cardiac care and intermediate care is an advantage. If you are newly graduated, you are offered to participate in the Region Jämtland Härjedalen's introductory program, Nurse's first year.
