Physiotherapist Wanted at Fjällhälsan
Sjukvårdens Utveckling i Hede/Vemdalen EkonomiskJämtlands län, Härjedalen
Previous experience is desired
Are you a physiotherapist?
Do you enjoy outdoor life, forests and mountains, or is it the countryside that attracts you?
Fjällhälsan is a private health center operated without profit motives by an economic association owned by the local population. The health center is located in Hede, about 20 km from Vemdalen and about 60 km from Funäsdalen, and here we have gathered many competencies under one roof, such as child health care, maternity care, physiotherapy, psychosocial unit, etc. We also have our own lab and X-ray facilities. Smaller branches are located in Vemdalen village and Lillhärdal, and during the winter season, we have ski doctors in Björnrike, Tänndalen, and Ramundberget. The nearest hospital is 150 km away in Östersund, which is why we handle many acute conditions that normally go to emergency departments, and orthopedic injuries make up a large part of our work during the winter. We are a strong and competent staff group of about 35 employees with many years of experience in primary care. Together, we make a difference for our primary catchment area of about 3,300 people, which increases tenfold during the winter season!
Who are you?
You are a licensed physiotherapist with a few years of experience and are inspired by the vastness of the mountains, skiing, hunting, fishing, hiking, or snowmobiling in a wonderful environment. The role of physiotherapist at Fjällhälsan is broader than what is normally found in a health center in primary care, as we have long distances to specialist care.
Your tasks will be varied and will include examinations, assessments, and treatments such as individualized physical training for rehabilitative and preventive purposes, manual and physical therapy, acupuncture, body and movement awareness training, relaxation, behavior-oriented methods, ergonomics, fitting and prescribing walking and exercise aids, writing consultation referrals to orthopedics as needed, and referrals for X-ray examinations, conducting patient education and training groups, and providing telephone advice. The work is both independent, which means being able to make your own assessments and decisions, while also being part of a team. Experience from primary care/health centers is advantageous.
A valid driver's license (B) is required for the position.
