As the head chef at Görvälns Slott, you will work in the kitchen with menu writing, purchasing, production, and serving all types of meals according to established concepts and policies. We serve breakfast, lunch, coffee, and dinner. You will work in operations with production and service, and you are the kitchen's face to the outside world. As head chef, you have overall responsibility for the restaurant's menu development, flavor profile, and culinary concepts. You also have the responsibility for our own cultivation of vegetables and herbs. You ensure that all meals produced and served at the facility maintain high quality and follow the vision

Responsibilities

Culinary Responsibility

- Overall responsibility for the restaurant's menu development, flavor profile, and culinary concepts

- Ensuring quality, presentation, and taste levels according to established standards

- Responsibility for the selection of raw materials and suppliers in consultation with management

- Ensuring that the kitchen's work supports the restaurant's and hotel's brand

Development and Creative Height

- In close collaboration with the restaurant manager and management, you are responsible for the development and quality of food and food concepts to achieve the vision.

- Dinner menus are changed approximately 8 times a year and follow the seasons, while lunch menus change monthly

Market Monitoring

- Your work includes having a good understanding of competitors in the conference and restaurant industry, other restaurants, and the food industry as a whole.

- We offer inspiration grants and the opportunity to visit Svenska Mötens facilities.

Leadership & Profile

Your role involves coaching and inspiring chefs, kitchen apprentices, and service staff to create maximum efficiency and development in the kitchen.

- Schedules should be made for optimal profitability under current quality requirements and established frameworks, considering laws and regulations, as well as taking great care of the staff's well-being and health.

- Recruitment of chefs as needed.

- Responsibility for onboarding, skills development, and follow-up of employees

- Conducting employee conversations and contributing to a good work environment

- Be a clear role model in professionalism, collaboration, and values

Experience & Competence Requirements

Mandatory:

  • At least 5 years of experience in the kitchen

  • Good knowledge of Swedish or English

  • Experience from similar operations

Meritorious:

  • Experience in purchasing and/or kitchen economics

  • Previous work in the hotel industry

Location: Stockholm Start: Immediately Employment: Full-time permanent (with a 6-month probationary period) Salary: By agreement Scope: Full-time (100%, day and evening)
