Job Description

As a kitchen assistant, you contribute to creating good meals of high quality. You will be an important part of preparing delicious, safe, and healthy meals for both patients and visitors at the hospital. Your tasks are varied and include preparing food for patients, setting up meal trays for patients, as well as dishwashing and cleaning. You will participate in and carry out self-checks together with your colleagues. Other tasks may also occur, such as working in our lunch restaurant.

The work is scheduled during daytime on both weekdays and weekends.

To provide good service in the role of kitchen assistant, you need to:

• show interest, willingness, and commitment to perform well
• be meticulous and responsible
• have a good attitude and work well with others
• be flexible and able to switch between different tasks

For the position, it is required that you have completed a high school education in restaurant and food management or equivalent education that the employer deems comparable, combined with previous experience of similar tasks in a kitchen. You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, and can easily engage in dialogue with customers and colleagues as well as follow and understand written and oral work instructions. Since work in the kitchen is physically demanding, you need to have the physical capability to stand and walk throughout the workday, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks.

In the coming years, our journey within our meal operations will be digitalized, which requires that our future employees are comfortable using digital tools.

Previous experience in serving, customer contact, and cash handling is an advantage for the position.
