We are now looking for a dedicated employee with a high sense of service for the position of Conference Host/Hostess, who will be responsible for the daily operations together with our Conference Manager.

You should have a positive and cheerful personality with self-drive and attention to detail to fit into our team. You should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, like meeting guests, dare to ask questions, and take your own initiatives. You also like to get things done and can communicate with all departments so that our guests leave with a fantastic experience of the hotel.

This is a rotating schedule with day/evening/weekend shifts, and work may be allocated to other F&B departments when occupancy is low in the conference department.

The tasks are varied and include preparing for conferences/events and providing service to our conference/event guests as outlined below:

YOUR MAIN TASKS WILL INCLUDE:

• Setting up conference rooms according to orders
• Welcoming conference & event guests and going through the day's arrangements
• Communicating any changes in arrangements to relevant departments
• Assisting conference & event guests throughout the day
• Clearing dishes and tidying up in rented rooms during breaks and after events
• If necessary, assisting with simple serving in the rooms
• Forwarding guest comments to the conference manager

THE FOLLOWING IS REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:

• Documented experience in a service role, preferably previous experience in conference/event operations
• A sales-oriented approach and quick to learn
• A natural sense of guest service, quality, and problem-solving
• Ability to work irregular hours and be adaptable to schedule changes based on bookings
• You need to have good physical condition as there are many heavy lifts of furniture
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Previous experience with hotel booking systems EMMA/SAP is an advantage

• Parental leave cover 100% for approximately 1 year

The standard rooms are among the largest in Gothenburg, and the hotel's famous Royal Suite measures a full 160 sqm. Many major celebrities have stayed here during their visits to the city. At Scandinavia, there is Hagabadet Spa & Yoga Studio, two restaurants, large event spaces, shops, and a monitored garage with parking service and electric car spaces. Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel has a large conference department with 15 meeting rooms, including a large banquet hall with a capacity for 480 seated guests.
