On the old herring island Klädesholmen outside Tjörn lies Salt & Sill, surrounded by Bohuslän's salty cliffs and skerries. We are Sweden's first floating hotel and one of the west coast's most appreciated archipelago destinations, with a hotel, conference facilities, and a restaurant – right by the dock.
Our business has been operated under the current management since the early 2000s and is characterized by a strong passion for food, people, and hospitality. The proximity to the sea and local ingredients permeates both our menus and guest experiences. We are a seasonal business with a high tempo during parts of the year, where collaboration, responsibility, and engagement are crucial for the whole.
About the positionWe are now looking for a pizza chef for Sjöboden for the period from June to August. Sjöboden is our relaxed summer restaurant by the sea, where we serve pizza, seafood, and selected small dishes in a lively and cozy environment. The pace is high during the summer months, and working hours are scheduled for weekdays and weekends, both day and evening shifts.
This is how we usually describe the positionAs a pizza chef at Sjöboden, you are an important part of the guests' summer experience. You work in an open and social kitchen where quality, pace, and collaboration are in focus. The role suits you if you are confident in dough work, appreciate structure, and have a sense for taste and details. Here, craftsmanship is combined with a relaxed atmosphere – always with the sea as your closest neighbor.
Your responsibilities in the roleIn this role, you are responsible for preparing and baking pizzas as well as cooking simpler dishes according to the menu and guests' requests. You ensure that each dish maintains high quality in terms of taste, consistency, and presentation. The work also involves keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and functioning well, including cleaning ovens, work surfaces, and utensils. You handle ingredients and inventory in a structured manner and collaborate closely with other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and efficient operation in the restaurant.
Who we believe you areWe believe that you have experience working as a pizza chef or pizzaiolo and are confident in handling dough and ovens. You have good knowledge of different pizza varieties, dough recipes, and cooking methods and work meticulously even when the pace is high. You are responsible, flexible, and enjoy working in a team. Creativity and a sense of quality and details are important traits for the role. You can communicate in Swedish and English at work.
