About Galejan

Galejan is an operation within the Development and Labor Market Unit. Galejan includes a second-hand store, café, recycling, and carries out assignments for private and public organizations, individuals, and associations. In our operations, the individual is the focus. Here, opportunities for internships, work training, and shorter or longer employment are provided. Galejan is in a development process to be transformed into a social enterprise. Galejan has about 20 employees.

As a supervisor, you are responsible for both individual employees and workgroups, with the ambition to help people grow in their respective roles. You are part of a supervisory team and have contact with our clients, customers, and donors, the Employment Service, the Social Insurance Agency, healthcare, and have dialogue with various operations within Malå municipality. You have education in one of the fields of social work, behavioral science, or pedagogy. Experience from development projects, social entrepreneurship, and/or self-employment is an asset, as well as knowledge of work ability assessments and rehabilitation processes. You have experience working with people who, for various reasons, are outside the regular labor market.

Qualifications

You have good leadership skills, can inspire and motivate to create a work environment that allows employees to develop and perform their tasks as well as possible. You can communicate pedagogically and clearly, provide constructive feedback, and do not shy away from conflicts, which are prerequisites for you to carry out the supervisory assignment in a trustworthy manner.

In the role of supervisor, you need to be alert and adaptable at all times. An active problem-solving ability and the willingness and courage to make decisions are prerequisites for solving complex situations.

You have good planning and collaboration skills and are a team player. This means being able to both direct and lead others, but also to be a colleague in the larger team where everyone is needed! Team before self. Being able to collaborate with others is therefore central to being successful as a supervisor at Galejan. The Development and Labor Market Unit applies an integrated working method, which means that employees in our various operations help each other. Differences create development power!

A driving license (B) is a requirement.
