We are looking for a highly experienced system architect who wants to further develop and optimize an established computing platform for genomics and precision medicine within healthcare. The environment is operational, and you will join an experienced team focused on consolidating existing solutions, increasing robustness, and preparing the platform for the next step with increased automation and a more container-based approach in an internal cloud platform.

A central part of the assignment is to ensure that architectural choices, technical solutions, and working methods are documented in a structured and traceable manner to enable effective collaboration, future development, and reduced dependency on individuals.

• Be responsible for overall architecture and technical choices in an advanced HPC environment based on batch/cluster solutions.
• Complete and consolidate solutions that are already implemented or in implementation, focusing on long-term management.
• Optimize existing environments and contribute to increased automation.
• Collaborate closely with architects, platform teams, and operations functions, as well as engage in dialogue with research activities.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture descriptions, decision support, and operational and management documentation.
• Support onboarding of new research projects and new technical resources.

• Academic degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems science, or equivalent, or at least 5 years of documented work as a system architect/solution architect within advanced IT architecture.
• At least 5 years of documented experience as a system architect or solution architect in complex IT environments, with responsibility for overall architecture, technical choices, and long-term management.
• At least 1 year of experience in design, implementation, and further development of compute or infrastructure-heavy environments (e.g., HPC platforms and batch systems).
• At least 4 years of experience with container technology and container-based platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• At least 5 years of documented experience with cloud or hybrid environments as well as infrastructure as code, automation, and CI/CD principles.
• Documented experience in developing and maintaining technical documentation, architecture descriptions, decision support, and operational and management documentation.
• Excellent ability to communicate technical solutions verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.

• At least 1 year of documented experience with Slurm Workload Manager.
• At least 1 year of documented, practical experience in designing and further developing solutions where security, traceability, and compliance with regulatory requirements have been central, preferably in healthcare or research-related environments.
