Support Assistant for Autism Units in Lund

We are looking for you who want to work as a support assistant in our autism units within daily activities in Lund.

About the Workplace and Role

We are looking for support assistants for two of our units focusing on autism within daily activities. In these units, we work closely with the users and support the individual in activities tailored to each person's specific needs.

In the units, users have a great need for support, and there are situations with challenging behavior. The staff density is high, and in some areas, we work with double staffing. We work with a small group of users where you, together with other support assistants, work closely with the educational coordinator and our support pedagogues to create conditions for our participants to carry out activities both in groups and individually.

We are looking for someone who is positive, innovative, and has the ability to see the user's development and potential. Significant emphasis is placed on your experience with this target group and your knowledge of low-arousal approaches. You need to enjoy working flexibly as the units collaborate on staffing.

The role also includes establishing and designing implementation plans, as well as documenting and contributing to maintaining good quality in the operations.

Our units within daily activities LSS offer our participants with various disabilities activities where participation and self-determination are essential. We provide help and support based on individual needs to create good experiences and security. The units are geographically located in different places in Lund with various focuses.

We work to ensure that our users have the opportunity to be as independent as possible and live the life they desire. Therefore, it is required that you have leadership skills, are curious, and have the ability to listen to our users.

Working Hours

As a support assistant within daily activities, you work Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 16:00.

Qualifications

• Approved grades from the health and care program, child and leisure program, social sciences/behavior, or other post-secondary education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Experience with the target group.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing.
• We prefer that you have experience working with low-arousal approaches and clear pedagogical methods.
• A driver's license is required.
