Within the social care administration, about 1200 engaged employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place in elderly care, home care, disability services, social psychiatry, and individual and family care.
We are looking for a development-oriented family therapist for the Open Care Unit. The Open Care Unit is one of seven units that organizationally belong to Individual and Family Care. The other units are the Child and Family Unit, Placement Unit, Adult Unit, Financial Support Unit, Labor Market Unit, and Family Law.
We are located in newly renovated premises in the city center.
The unit is led by a unit manager and a coordinator.
The workgroup consists of twelve family therapists, three therapists focusing on harmful use and dependency, and a social worker in the field group along with two field secretaries.
We enjoy working together and take joint responsibility for the best interests of our residents. Everyone in the unit continuously works on development and quality improvement, currently focusing on method development to maintain evidence-based practice.
The unit has a clear competence ladder aimed at providing employees with continuous professional development to ensure quality for the citizens of Ystad. The workgroup also has continuous external supervision.
The family therapists are divided into two teams, a preventive/advisory team and a treatment team.
As one of our long-term employees has chosen to move on to new adventures, we are looking for their replacement in the treatment team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a family therapist in the treatment team, you will work in pairs on behalf of the Child and Family Unit or the Placement Unit.
Utilizing treatment methods in daily work and jointly evaluating them is an important part of the unit's internal work for evidence-based practice.
In Ystad, we work with a model called Backa Barnet, www.backabarnet.se (http://www.backabarnet.se).
As a family therapist, you are an important part of this work.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in social work or another higher education qualification deemed equivalent by the employer
- A valid driver's license is required
- Experience in family therapy work, preferably with the target group of children and adolescents with norm-breaking behavior.
- Experience with the Lifecare operational system is an advantage but not a requirement.
- Meritorious with training in and experience of any of the evidence-based methods/interventions we work with, e.g., FFT, KSL, CBT, and rePULSE.
- If you have training in and experience of leading groups such as Skilda Världar, BiFF, Cope, etc., that is an additional merit.
- As collaboration both internally and externally is a major part of the work, we expect you to have good collaboration skills.
- We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
