Job Responsibilities
The housing and support unit has a common goal to provide individuals facing significant difficulties in their daily lives the opportunity to participate in the community and live like others. We work to reduce harm, motivate change, maintain change over time, and strengthen individual resources and functional abilities.
Kirsebergsgården is a residence for men and women with harmful use or dependency, often in combination with mental health issues. Here, women and men of different ages, varying substance use, and unique life stories, experiences, and needs reside.
The job responsibilities include supporting our residents in their daily lives and in contact with authorities, as well as creating a safe and stable living environment. As the resident's contact person, you work motivationally to ensure that the interventions the resident needs are implemented and to achieve the goals in the long-term planning. We work with ongoing documentation and together with the resident, we establish implementation plans.
As part of the role, you will also provide support in practical tasks such as accompanying residents to meetings with other authorities, assisting with legitimization, and supporting the execution of daily chores when needed.
We operate based on a low-arousal approach, harm reduction work, and motivational interviewing.

Qualifications
- Completed education as a social worker, social pedagogue, treatment pedagogue, or other relevant education deemed suitable for the role by the employer
- At least 1-2 years of experience in social work
- At least 1-2 years of experience working with individuals living with mental health issues
- At least 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with dependency problems
- Good knowledge of social services and its various interventions
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Driving license B automatic
Meritorious:
- Experience working with a low-arousal approach
- Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness
- Training in MI and/or solution-focused methods
- Experience with documentation in similar operations
- Experience working with harm reduction approaches and methods
- Experience collaborating with other actors such as police, healthcare, and social services
The role requires good communication skills and that you are attentive and solution-oriented. You have excellent collaboration skills, are unpretentious, and are open to learning from our mistakes together. Furthermore, it is important that you are self-driven in the sense that you take your own initiative in situations where it is about seeking more information or working towards closer collaboration with your colleagues or external actors to move forward in a question or case.
We constantly work motivationally, and it is important that your primary focus is on the abilities and strengths present in each individual. You are a person who believes that change is possible, and you work to convey calm and a sense of hope in more or less challenging situations.
As we strive to offer tailored support, it is important that you have the ability to consider each individual's current situation and circumstances. This also means that you need to be flexible and adapt your approach to the person you meet. It is important that you are calm and stable, can distinguish between personal and private matters, and have a good, low-arousal, and non-judgmental approach.
You enjoy working in a small team where you work closely with your colleagues and have good knowledge of each other's cases.

About the Workplace
Kirsebergsgården, located in Malmö, has 44 apartments, and our target group is men and women aged 21 and older who, for various reasons, have difficulty maintaining housing within the regular housing market. Women and men with active dependency issues, with or without mental health problems, are welcome here. Currently, most residents at Kirsebergsgården are over 40, and many are older, with common interventions through home care services.
