As a summer substitute with us, you have the opportunity to work according to a schedule. You can also choose to work by the hour, meaning you can step in as a substitute when needed. Our employees distribute their vacation over all three summer months, which means there is an opportunity to work during June, July, and August. There is also a possibility to work as a substitute already in the spring.
Most of our operations within LSS are located in central Tomelilla. Two group homes are located in Skåne Tranås. With us, you can work with varying target groups within different operations.
- In Tomelilla municipality, we have four group homes, which are a housing option for individuals who need supervision and/or care. Here, needs are met with staff around the clock. The work is based on motivating, following routines, and structures built around the users' needs.
- Daily activities are aimed at participants who need stimulation and activities to enhance sensory impressions and the feeling of belonging.
- Short-term stays are a service for children, adolescents, and young adults within LSS. Short-term stays can be offered for shorter and longer periods to provide the individual with a change of environment and to relieve relatives. The individual has access to their own room during the stay. In addition, there are spaces for socializing and activities, as well as training and preparations for becoming independent in adulthood.
- In personal assistance, the work involves providing individually tailored support in everyday life to an individual, so that they can live as independently as possible. The work is based on respect, attentiveness, and close collaboration based on the customer's needs and wishes. Working alone is common during the day, evening, weekend, and split shifts and night shifts.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will meet individuals with various functional variations. You are an important part of motivating and stimulating the user to a meaningful everyday life. Your task includes supporting and assisting the care recipient with care and performing interventions based on the user's individual needs. You will have regular contact with relatives, representatives, and other people who are important to the user. We work based on self-determination, influence, participation, accessibility, and independence. These guiding principles are reflected in LSS (the Act on Special Support). Staff should encourage the individual to develop their independence.

QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome both those with and without experience. We offer an individualized introduction and an opportunity to learn and grow into your tasks. A prerequisite for you to thrive is a genuine interest and curiosity for care and support work.
As a person, you need to be secure, responsible, flexible, and have a good attitude in your work. The assignment places high demands on good collaboration as you will have daily contact with users, colleagues, relatives, and managers.
If you lack education, you will receive the title of support assistant; for the title of support assistant, one of the following qualifications is required:
- High school education in care and nursing. Specialization in disability is an asset.
- High school education in child and leisure with specialization in pedagogy, psychiatry, or disabilities.
You need to master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues in speech and writing.
