💼 Job Responsibilities

As a traveling service technician, you will belong to a team of 40 traveling service technicians with support from in-house technicians and group managers. In this role, you work in the field and are the face of the company to customers, where you are responsible for preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations of TRUMPF's laser technology at customer sites. Your repair and service assignments are usually shorter tasks lasting a few days, and during installations, you participate in projects that last between 2-7 weeks. You work with mechanics, electronics, software installation, and system integration. You will work from home and stay overnight from Monday to Friday weekly in your work area covering Sweden and Norway. Since this is a traveling position, you will be provided with a company car, or alternatively a benefit car, as well as allowances and travel compensation.

Your introduction begins with comprehensive training, both with a colleague in the field and with the company's introductory training in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland alongside technician colleagues from around the world. TRUMPF offers you long-term and ongoing technical skills development, and through expanded tasks and training, you will take on increasingly complex assignments independently.

🔍 Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities

• Technical education, either from high school or vocational training

• Experience in technical work related to repair, service, or maintenance of industrial machines, preferably from manufacturing industries such as food production, automotive industry, or similar.

• Knowledge in mechanics, automation, and the ability to interpret electrical schematics

• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

• Valid driver's license (B)

Understanding the importance of structure and order in your work, you are methodical, systematic, and plan tasks before starting. In the role of service technician, you will speak with many customers daily and are comfortable taking the first step in starting a conversation. You have good communication skills, are comfortable with others, and feel relaxed in social situations.
