Social Worker for Joint Reception in Borlänge

The Social Services in Borlänge has had a Joint Reception for several years, where all cases from the residents of Borlänge come in the first stage. The reception team is the hub of social services in Borlänge municipality, where residents meet as individuals from a holistic perspective, allowing us to see the needs of our Borlänge residents across unit boundaries. Initial decisions are made in the reception team, and cases are then forwarded to investigative units for further assistance, support, and interventions.

The reception team consists of employees with competencies from all areas of social services, including dependency, financial assistance, VINR, and children, youth, and family. The work is led by two senior social workers who work closely with the team. The unit's management structure also includes an assistant unit manager and a unit manager, and there is also a method support function within the organization.

The Joint Reception is part of the Reception and Prevention Unit (MFE). Along with the reception, the unit also includes the Social Emergency Service Dalarna and Family Counseling, as well as several preventive and promotional activities that all work with advice and support in open forms where authority decisions are not required. This is all based on the new social services law's focus areas to create good conditions for our young citizens early on.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Joint Reception is the entry point for all social services cases.

As a social worker in the reception, you will receive, register, and manage reports and applications in child and adult cases, as well as decide on and implement decisions in urgent matters.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and several years of experience in the exercise of authority within social services, with good competence and confidence. The work requires excellent knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, good knowledge of English, and a valid driver's license (B).

Experience in several areas within the responsibilities of social services is advantageous for the position. Experience with MI, Signs of Safety, and BBIC training is also beneficial, as we in Borlänge work according to these models.
