I am a six-year-old boy with a muscle disease and autism. We are now looking for an assistant who is genuinely interested in working with children and has a respectful, warm, and safe approach.

My needs primarily concern physical tasks, which can sometimes be heavy, so we are looking for someone who is physically fit. I also have a significant mucus problem, which means it is important that you are attentive, calm, and can handle stressful situations that may arise in connection with this.

I cannot always express what I want or need, so it is necessary that you are perceptive, can read my body language, and are willing to get to know me deeply. Most things we learn together – just like everyone else, my needs are individual. Experience from similar work or education as a nursing assistant is an advantage, but the most important thing is the chemistry between us.

For me, it is important that my assistants are cheerful, imaginative, and take their own initiatives, so that I can have a fun, safe, and meaningful everyday life with people I can trust.

During the day, I attend school for an hour, and my assistants accompany me there. During the winter, the teaching takes place at home.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is physically fit and can assist with heavy physical tasks

• Has experience or is willing to learn about tube feeding, suctioning, and using a cough machine

• Is calm, attentive, and can handle stressful situations

• Is perceptive and can read body language as I cannot always express my needs verbally

• Has a warm, respectful, and safe approach

• Preferably has experience in similar work or education as a nursing assistant, but the most important thing is the chemistry between us

• Speaks and understands Swedish well

The position:

Hourly substitute as needed, which can develop into a permanent position.

The hours are during the day, evening, and awake night shifts.
