Job Responsibilities

As a social worker in the adult unit, you will be responsible for the activity obligation as the activity requirement for those receiving financial assistance is proposed by the government to come into effect on July 1, 2026. The activity requirement is an important part of the work to bring more people closer to the labor market. You will have close cooperation with social workers for financial assistance, the Public Employment Service, and the municipality's labor market unit, and you will be involved in designing and following up on the activities that will be offered to those covered by the activity requirement.

The work requires that you can work independently and find individual solutions. Other common tasks include outreach and group activities. The work is flexible based on certain given conditions, and there is ample room for ideas and innovation.

In the role of social worker in the adult unit, tasks such as investigation and follow-up according to the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Care of Abusers in Certain Cases (LVM) for clients with harmful use, dependency on alcohol, drugs, or gambling, as well as domestic violence may also occur. The work involves contact with individuals in the form of visits, home visits, phone calls, and collaboration with inpatient care, as well as documentation work and contact with other authorities. Other tasks may also occur, and the content and conditions of the work may change over time.

Qualifications

• We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, behavioral science education, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• You should be well acquainted with the administrative requirements and legislation governing the operations.
• Since the work involves a lot of documentation, high demands are placed on administrative skills and the ability to express oneself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing.
• Computer skills are a requirement, and knowledge of the operational system LifeCare is an advantage.
• A driver's license is required as the work involves travel within and outside the municipality.
• Experience of authority exercise in social work is an advantage.
• Previous experience working with harmful use and dependency issues is advantageous, as is training in MI and ASI.
