We at the Child and Adolescent Counseling Center in Falun are now expanding our team with one person and are looking for you who want to be part of our wonderful psychosocial team! In our counseling team, we are currently four people working together, and when needed, we collaborate closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and nurses, an opportunity we see as a strength and benefit when we can support the young person based on our different professions. Since 2023, we are also co-located with social workers, psychologists, midwives, and doctors at the Youth Center, with whom we have close collaboration and share a department manager. Starting in January this year, Region Dalarna introduced a long-awaited initiative to improve care for children and young people aged 0-17 with mental health issues. Through the new reception function, One Path In, we will have an exciting time ahead developing primary care for children and young people in Dalarna, of which you will also be a part!

At the Child and Adolescent Counseling Center, we meet children and adolescents aged 5 to 17 years in collaboration with their guardians. Families can turn to us for help with issues such as stress, anxiety, and depression. We provide advice, support, assessment, and treatment of mild to moderate mental health issues at the primary care level. Your main responsibilities will include psychological assessment and treatment, leading groups, collaborating in various forums, participating in supervision, and being involved in ongoing operations.

Requirements:

• You have a degree in social work or have training that the employer assesses as equivalent
• You have basic training in psychotherapy, CBT Level 1

Desirable:

• You are a licensed healthcare social worker
• You have knowledge of ACT, Emotion-Focused Skills Training for Parents
• You have experience working cross-professionally and treating children, adolescents, or families
• You have knowledge and interest in the health and living conditions of children and adolescents as well as experience in conducting group therapies and parent support

Your approach is solution-focused, you have initiative and find it easy to collaborate. Your working method is norm-conscious and inclusive. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
