Curator at Falu Municipality's Child and Student Health Center

The Child and Student Health Center consists of three child and student support units with cross-professional teams that promote natural collaboration between preschool, school, and social services. The cross-professional work is characterized by learning across professional boundaries and a desire to find solutions together. The organization also includes the medical student health service, as well as the child and student resource unit. Each unit is led by a unit manager. As a curator in the Child and Student Health Center, you will be part of an exciting development journey – with the opportunity to make a real difference for children and young people in Falu Municipality.

Västra School is a school for grades 7-9 with approximately 500 students, centrally located in Falun. Here, you can walk to the theater, Dalarna Museum, the City Library, and the World Heritage Site in Falun.

Job Responsibilities

As a curator, you will be part of the school's student health team. The team's mission is to work together with the school's other staff to promote health and prevent issues to strengthen children's and young people's ability to achieve educational goals. You contribute with psychosocial competence at the organizational, group, and individual levels and are tasked with supporting students and staff within the school. In your role, you will ensure collaboration between students, guardians, and the school's various actors. You will also collaborate with external actors such as social services, habilitation, and child and adolescent psychiatry (BUP).

In the curator's role, you will identify and analyze opportunities and promoting factors in the school's learning environment as well as reduce barriers to learning and personal development at the organizational, group, and individual levels.

Qualifications

The following is required for the role:

• Degree in social work or equivalent higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent
• Good ability to communicate and express yourself in speech and writing
• Knowledge and experience from supportive work with children and young people

Personal Qualities

You have a strong commitment to students and young people's psychosocial situation and have the ability to meet students in various life situations. You enable students' storytelling and contribute to highlighting students' participation and perspectives. You find it easy to build relationships and are professional and respectful in your interactions with students, guardians, and colleagues. In your work at the school, you will face many different challenges daily, so it is important that you enjoy working with complex issues in a systematic way. You need to be able to work independently, be clear and attentive, and be flexible in your daily work.

• Good knowledge of the Education Act and the Social Services Act
• Experience working as a school curator
• Experience working with children and young people
• Experience working within social services
• Experience of promoting and preventive measures
• Experience of Falu Municipality's work with “Together for Every Child”

Employment Conditions

Temporary full-time employment with the possibility of part-time until 2026-06-25, with start date according to agreement.
